The lot
- The starting point
- The grassy surface records the lot before the home was built. This image begins the journey through Cape Coral’s real construction stages.
Site preparation
- Prepared site
- Exposed earth and machinery tracks show the site preparation. The home’s walls have not yet been built.
The house takes shape
- Walls during construction
- Block walls define the home’s volume. The openings show where the windows will be located.
- Timber during structural work
- Timber elements surround the walls and the top of the structure. The photograph shows this stage before the finishes.
Roof and exterior
- The openings take shape
- The door and window openings are defined in the facade, with their glazing and closures still unfinished.
- Roofline
- The horizontal roof edge runs along the facade. At this stage, its connection with the block walls remains visible.
Floors and interiors
- 48 × 48 ceramic tile
- The floor features gray 48 × 48-inch ceramic tiles. This photograph shows the installation in progress, with spacers still in place.
- A wide opening
- The wide opening connects the interior with the outdoor gallery. The photograph shows both spaces while work continues.
Rear gallery and patio
- 24 × 48 black ceramic tile
- The gallery and patio floor features black 24 × 48-inch ceramic tiles with a stone-like appearance. This view shows the tile already installed.
- Custom-size sliding doors
- Custom-size, black-framed sliding doors connect the interior of the home with the gallery and rear patio.
- Planned barbecue area
- A barbecue area is planned along the wall to the right of the sliding doors, as part of the outdoor gallery. It is a future addition to the project.
Exterior · painting in progress
- Custom-size sliding windows
- The large front windows are custom-sized sliding windows made for the home. Their black frames contrast with the light facade.
- Exterior during painting
- Light-colored volumes and dark edges define the exterior. The photograph records the painting stage, with work still remaining.
- Horizontal lines
- Dark roof edges run across the different volumes. This view shows how they relate to the windows and light walls.
